Description
Lanterman's Mill is the third mill to occupy this site. It was built in 1845 German Lanterman. It closed in 1888 and sat idle and fell into disrepair until it was bought by the Youngstown Park system. It was used in many different ways by the park system, as a ballroom, concession stand, bathhouse for swimmers, and boat storage during the winter. In 1972 it was turned into the historical museum that it is today. It has been turned into the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. The Covered Bridge behind it was restored in 1982-85

A wonderful winter capture of a lovely historical place! Nicely done! I am very pleased to feature your lovely artwork in the group ‘Covered Bridges and Historical Buildings.’ Please add it to the “2023 First Quarter Featured Image Collection” thread in the discussions area to record and display your image amongst the best in the group. Thank you! 1/16/23
