Also named Island Run covered bridge it is in a very remote and beautiful setting. In 1863 Morgan's Raider's were said to have crossed the bridge escaping the pursuing Union Cavalry. It was restored a few years ago. At that time a beautiful Arch was added to the multiple kingpost truss for added support. I have added some texture to the photograph.
