Description
B & O Black River Viaduct. Built By B&O between 1892 and 1907. 3 arches 85' high 300 ft long. Stones were cut by stonecutters who were housed in a nearby dormitory. The grade took many years, the bridge itself over 2 years. Known locally as the "highline" and Treaschers Bridge. There are two other arch bridges along this highline but none as beautiful as this one.
